emma sproat is an artist and design activist working with ceramic and digital image


Fusing together polar materialities, she pushes the boundaries of ceramic art whilst acknowledging the beauty and presence of primitive form and processes. Her desire is to create new alternate, yet, distant galaxies within her work by merging together and layering digital art and language.

The collision of these mediums strives to be both startling and discomforting, as the vessels inhabiting these layers are aesthetically beautiful and soft by nature.

She provides the grotesque and socially discarded with a dimensional canvas, to be both shown openly and considered intensely.
